If you don’t have an Amazon Alexa device in your home and you want one, of course, this might be the cheapest way to get a hold of one.
Right now, Amazon is offering the Echo Dot (usually $50) for just $1 if you pay for two months of its Music Unlimited streaming service, meaning you’ll pay just $17 upfront for the bundle. Just make sure you cancel the ongoing subscription after the two months, otherwise it’s $8 monthly.

Portable projectors come in all shapes and sizes, not to mention price points—but Anker’s new Nebula Astro projector is especially designed to be kid-friendly.

Bose makes pretty awesome audio gear, but the typically high pricing sends a lot of prospective buyers flocking towards lower-cost alternatives instead.
However, if you’re keen on Rose Gold, you can snag Bose’s QuietComfort 35 II wireless headphones right now for $114 off the list price at Amazon. The retailer also has black and silver versions, but they’re only $70 off apiece.
If you love action flicks and you’re the sort to still buy physical discs (and not just stream or buy digitally), then you might find a stellar deal at Amazon right now.
The site is offering a Buy-2-Get-1-Free deal on a selection of Blu-ray flicks right now, which include fun picks like Inglorious Basterds and Pacific Rim Uprising. All of the discs are also super-discounted, so you won’t have to spend much to get a trio of movies for your collection.

Don’t already have a charging pad? We’re fans of Anker’s PowerWave stand, which keeps your phone screen upright and in view — perfect for a desk or nightstand. Right now it’s 32% off at Amazon, although you’ll need to provide your own USB charging brick to plug into.

And while the XCOM 2 Collection isn’t as robust of a collection of full games, the $35 price right now is still super stellar for a game that you could play for ages. Just make sure you have a microSD for any/all of these, as they all require significant downloads to get the complete package onto your Switch.

Typically, Amazon Prime Day has taken place in July. That obviously didn’t happen in 2020, given the chaos of the current coronavirus pandemic and the impact it has had on Amazon’s ability to consistently fulfill orders for “non-essential” items. But it’s still happening this year.
In late July, Amazon’s finance boss Brian Olavsky told reporters that the company plans to hold Prime Day in Q4 2020, which means sometime between October and the end of the year. That’s all we’ve heard so far, at least officially.
We won’t know the actual deals for Amazon Prime Day 2020 until the sales event is formally announced, but we can look back at the 2019 deals for a sense of what might be up for grabs.
In short, nearly everything. Amazon’s own gadgets are usually deeply discounted, along with TVs, laptops, earbuds, game consoles, kitchen devices, robot vacuums, clothing, gift cards, furniture, and so much more. We’re likely to see thousands of discounts across the board, some more dramatic than others, with many standout deals in the mix.
While Amazon will undoubtedly command the online shopping conversation during Prime Day 2020, expect other sites to try to snipe some of that momentum by matching Prime Day prices and/or offering other special discounts. We’ll be keeping tabs on those deals while also bringing you the best Prime Day deals once the event arrives, so stay tuned.
